Introduction

Crosbie IT Ltd was formed at the end of 1999 to cater for the Information and Communications Technology needs of small and medium sized business, primarily within the East Midlands area. Small and Medium Businesses (SMB's) are categorised by the DTI and others organisations as anything from one or two users right up to 50 users and beyond.

Generally speaking, these organisations are considered too small to warrant the salary and continuous training resources required to employ their own in-house IT support professional and therefore may lack the specialist knowledge required to select the right hardware and software solution to run the business. Whilst there are plenty of people around with some IT know-how, few will also have networking skills, the business background and skills required to analyse the business process. By acting as a company’s IT department and taking complete control of all the IT functions, we leave business owners and managers with much more time and they are free to do what they do best – running their business.

Although we are very familiar with large business systems, we have a particular skill in scaling these concepts down to cater for the needs of the SMB, particularly with budget.
